Identify who handles fulfillment
Not every marketplace order creates the same work for your warehouse. Mixing sales shipped by your teams with orders handled by the platform makes operations harder to interpret.
Building on order search, we bring this responsibility indicator into marketplace order monitoring. You can review each mode in its own context.
What changes in daily work
- Separate seller-handled and platform-handled orders.
- Review a channel without mixing shipping responsibilities.
- Filter orders by fulfillment mode in your integrations.
Features in detail
Marketplace
A fulfillment mode attached to each order
Marketplace search distinguishes seller-fulfilled orders (FBM) from platform-fulfilled orders (FBP). For Amazon, orders reported as fulfilled by Amazon are recognised within the platform-handled scope.
Review sales with the right operational perspective
Combine the mode with channel, status and period filters. You retain a shared commercial view while separating shipping responsibilities. Availability depends on the information collected from the connected channel.
API: use the same criterion in your application
GET /api/oms/orders accepts the fulfilledBySeller filter. A value of true selects seller-handled orders; false selects orders marked as not fulfilled by the seller.
To identify FBA, combine this criterion with the relevant Amazon channel. “Not seller-fulfilled” is not a universal synonym for FBA across all platforms. Developers can review read access principles in the CIAMA API documentation.
Prepare an Amazon FBA and FBM review
For an Amazon review, the marketplace manager selects seller-fulfilled orders, then examines FBA orders separately. She can discuss the scope handled by her own warehouse with logistics while retaining a commercial view of both modes.
The developer uses the same distinction through the fulfilledBySeller filter in the orders API, combined with the Amazon channel. Teams therefore use the same scope for their review and data extracts. The recorded fulfillment mode reflects information supplied by the connected channel.
This edition looks back at CIAMA’s evolution. The month is an editorial milestone in the product story, not a production deployment date.
