Explain sales performance by period, product and brand

We organise sales into performance views that explain a month of activity. Daily trends, products, brands and categories provide different perspectives on the same commercial data.

Explain a change in sales

A monthly change calls for an explanation: which products, brands and days contributed to activity? A total alone cannot answer those questions.

Following profitability, we develop the view of sales performance. PIM references provide shared analytical dimensions for range and business reviews.

What changes in daily work

  • Review a period alongside its daily trends.
  • Identify the products and brands contributing to sales.
  • Build analyses from API-filtered order lines.

Features in detail

Reporting

See how a month unfolded

The monthly view brings together sales aggregates and daily trends, with an hourly view of activity. Available amounts distinguish sales, shipments and refunds according to recorded data.

Identify catalogue contributions

Rankings by product, brand, category and tag reveal the elements composing the period. These dimensions reuse PIM classification, so their usefulness also depends on the quality of product relationships.

API: prepare analysis from sales lines

GET /api/oms/order-lines accepts filters including purchaseAfter, purchaseBefore, productId and brandId. Retrieve a defined sales scope for your own reporting, processing every result page.

This route provides lines; it does not automatically reproduce every cockpit chart’s aggregates. Your integration needs to define the period, statuses and aggregation rules. Read access principles are covered in the CIAMA API documentation.

Prepare the monthly sales review

Before a monthly review, a sales manager notices a change in sales. She checks daily trends, then leading brands and products to identify the range contributing to that change.

She examines that range’s order lines and compares her findings with the margin view introduced in R015. A high-selling range and a profitable range answer different questions: bringing them together prepares the discussion with procurement and management.

To share the review in an internal tool, the technical team can extract lines through the API while retaining the chosen period, statuses and calculation rules. Everyone can see which sales make up the figures under discussion.

This edition looks back at CIAMA’s evolution. The month is an editorial milestone in the product story, not a production deployment date.
