Know which warehouse the availability belongs to
A total quantity does not tell you where stock is held. To prepare a commercial or logistics decision, your teams need to know the relevant warehouse and the scope of available information.
Following sales channels, we connect products to their logistics context. Stock monitoring by warehouse preserves that context instead of reducing all availability to one number.
What changes in daily work
- Search stock for a specific warehouse.
- Distinguish availability, activity and recorded inbound quantities.
- Retrieve warehouse identities through your integration.
Features in detail
Logistics
Search availability within its scope
Stock search combines reference, warehouse, active state and stock availability. Additional criteria help identify recorded inbound quantities or references with recent sales activity.
Keep product, stock and source connected
Read logistics data in the context of each warehouse and its configured collection flows. This foundation supports subsequent uses, such as distributing availability to channels, without treating one site’s stock as every site’s stock.
API: identify your account’s warehouses
GET /api/warehouse/warehouses provides a paginated list and search by name. Warehouse records include their identifier, name, type, active state and default indicator.
This route supplies warehouse reference data, not a list of all warehouse quantities. Stock writes and their supported scope use separate contracts, covered later in this retrospective. Explore logistics families in the CIAMA API documentation.
Answer an availability question
A logistics manager needs to answer an availability question about an item. They search for the reference, select the relevant warehouse and review stock and recorded inbound quantities. They can explain to sales which location the information concerns.
If an internal tool needs the same scope, the developer retrieves the warehouse identity through the API. Quantities are read from the flows actually connected, taking their synchronisation freshness into account.
This context prepares stock distribution to marketplaces: knowing warehouse stock and sending a quantity to an offer are separate steps to follow.
This edition looks back at CIAMA’s evolution. The month is an editorial milestone in the product story, not a production deployment date.
