Keep business customer context visible
Business sales depend on customer relationships that extend beyond a marketplace offer. Your teams need to find those customers and orders within a recognisable commercial context.
We give B2B commerce its place in the cockpit, retaining shared product and channel references. Your commercial system can remain the source of its data.
What changes in daily work
- Find customers belonging to your B2B activity.
- Review orders in their business sales channel.
- Supply customers through the API and track processing.
Features in detail
B2B
Find business customers
B2B customer search brings together customers from this activity within your account. Sales has a dedicated starting point for finding a business relationship and its references.
Read orders in their B2B context
A dedicated search lets teams review orders, including by status and channel. They use the common order model while retaining the context of business sales.
API: send customers from your commercial system
PUT /api/b2b/customers/by-external-id/{externalId} creates or replaces the customer representation owned by the authorised source. The integration uses B2B permissions and the required synchronisation metadata.
After a 202 Accepted response, GET /api/b2b/customers/receipts/{receiptId} tracks processing. GET /api/b2b/customers/by-external-id/{externalId} then returns the applied representation. Find access rules in the CIAMA API documentation.
These customer identities prepare links to the price categories introduced in R011: customers, products and prices can share explicit references with your ERP.
Share customer references with your ERP
A sales team finds a business customer in CIAMA and reviews activity in the relevant B2B channel. Meanwhile, its ERP integration sends customer records under their external identifiers and checks the processing receipts.
This supports a shared view without asking teams to invent a different customer reference for every tool.
This edition looks back at CIAMA’s evolution. The month is an editorial milestone in the product story, not a production deployment date.
